Squid is an excellent all round bait will catch all sorts sometimes the older more manky redder it is the better 2 or 3 times out of the freezer does the trick,and sometimes its got to be white and fresh perservere with it could be down to where you are fishing try it in a cocktail with sandeel bluie or mackerel make sure you are not masking.
