I've got a chevy 350 with a pertronix ignition in the distributor and i am trying to hook up my new msd 6a and msd blaster2 coil It wouldn't start so i bypassed the msd ignition and just started it off the coil and pertronix and it started right up The problem is when i hook up the ignition the coil doesn't get any power. The coil and the msd box were replaced, and i still have the problem, so it appears that they are not at fault. I am using an msd 8582 distributor, blaster 3 coil, and the 6a ignition box with 9mm motorsport wires I tested the coil today and found that the primary and secondary numbers were low I replaced the coil, but still seem to have a problem
I tested the coil wire and it read about 1.1 k ohms.
