Lenovo are advising me to update the dock firmware but that just gives me the pictured error message. A user on here reported that the video on their gen 2 dock (40as) recently began working with their ally However when laptop (t14s) is connected to the docking lan, usb ports are available except those two external monitors

What can be the issue here What step i could take to troubleshoot it? It seems to be that a firmware update can help, but i do only have machines… Whenever i power cycle the t14 while connected to the dock, i end up a boot loop
I have isolated the issue to a usb port on the dock The recommended fix is to downgrade firmware A /force type option seems like such a basic thing, and can't believe lenovo doesn't support it somehow? Using the updater package downloaded from lenovo worked fine, thanks for the help edit 2

My ultimate verdict is that the standalone dock manager taskbar software from lenovo is not great, shouldn't be used unless necessary for your situation I found out that it was the cause of the dock's instability / boot loop behaviour. I have a lenovo t14 gen2, trying to use with 40a9 dock statiton Everything’s working except the display port
